DESCRIPTION:On Wednesday\, the Saltwater Cowboys will swim the ponies from Assateague Island to Chincoteague Island. The Ponies will swim across the Assateague Channel and come ashore on the east side of Chincoteague Island.

\nThis is going to be a big event! We plan on having over 50\,000 people and if you want our best advice\, plan on seeing the second swim on Friday! This is known as the swim back to Assateague. There will be less crowds and better viewing areas. Most people think the swim back to Assateague is the best swim\, especially if you want the best pictures. The ponies slowly migrate back to Assateague and this creates the very best opportunity for photos.
